Emre Busse, born in Istanbul and based in Berlin, is an art historian and filmmaker specializing in contemporary sexualities and trans-cultural pornography studies. He earned his Ph.D. from the Freie University of Berlin's Art History faculty, supported by a Hans-Böckler-Stiftung doctoral fellowship. Since 2023, Emre has been teaching seminar courses in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Bremen. His forthcoming monograph, 'Ethnicity as Desire: Post-Colonial Gay Pornographic Film in Europe,' is set for publication by DeGruyter in the summer of 2024.
