Emre Busse is a Kurdish, Türkiye-born, Germany-based researcher and pornographer. He earned his Ph.D. from the Art History faculty at Freie University of Berlin, supported by a Hans-Böckler-Stiftung doctoral fellowship. He has taught seminar courses in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Bremen, with a focus on pornography studies. He is a member of the DFG-funded Interdisciplinary Pornography Research Network.​ His monograph, Ethnicity as Desire: Post-Colonial Gay Pornographic Film in Europe, was published by De Gruyter in November 2024. His recent film, The Man Who Perceives All, was awarded Best Short Film at the 19th Pornfilmfestival Berlin and the 12th Porny Days Film Kunst Festival Zürich. His new film, Fistule, is set to be released in October 2026.
